Drontol cat wormer: can I feed it to her with something?
I got a Drontol cat wormer pill today. And the vet lady told me to shove it down her throat. Do I have to do it that way? Can I put some food on it and have her eat it instead?
You can put it in food if you want. Just remember that if you mix it in the food and she refuses it your out of luck. I would just go ahead and pill her and get it over with.

Can you use cat wormer to worm a ferret?
hey guys we have a six month old ferret who is in need of worming and we dont have a pet store that carries ferret wormer around her we have a places that sell CAT wormer will that work? i think you can use cat wormer on em but i am not sure.
First of all, are you sure the ferret has worms? What are you seeing? You should first clean the litter box and once the ferret has gone to the bathroom immediately check the stool. If you see things moving around then you need medicine. Otherwise it could be bugs in your litter box & house. Different types of worms require different types of medicine- so you need a Vet to determine what is wrong with your ferret before you give him/her treatment. Also, Cats are built differently than ferrets- food designed for cats are usually not good enough to feed to ferrets because they don't meet their nutritional needs. Saying Cats are the same as ferrets is like saying we are the same as dogs and can take their medicine. They are from the class Felidae and ferrets are part of Mustela- closer to Otters and Weasels than cats.
How do I know if the wormer worked on my cat?
I gave my cat some wormer called cestex that the vet gave me and i have not seen any worms in her stool. Is there still a possibility that it killed the worms if i don't see them in her stool?
Yes there is a possibility. Your cat may have had a microscopic parasite, in which case you wouldn't be able to see them in the stool. Or your cat's body may have absorbed the parasite instead of letting it pass through. A good way to check would be to schedule a follow up fecal test. My vet always did this 2-3 weeks after medication stopped.
How to gave a cat liquid wormer?
I need help I have a 2 year old tom cat who had worms we bought him some liquid wormer but he dose'nt want to take it. Everytime we try to give him his medicine he refuses to take it. He will jump up, cry, hit and try to run when its time to give it to him. We try to hold him down , grab the back of his neck and everything and still he dosen't get all of the medicine and when we are lucky enough to get the medicine in his mouth we have to tilt his head back and make him swallow it or he will throw it up. We tryed pouring it on his food and putting it in a bottle and medicine dropper but he refuses it everytime. I'm hoping someone on here can give me advice that way he can get rid of the worms. If you have anything that may be useful for this please let me know. Thank You.
